Ah, how I have missed you, my dear sweet races. Unfortunately you have taken a back seat lately and I think I made you mad at me. Please don't jump up and bite me like you did on Sunday. I know I may have neglected you in favor of my love Sara, but that doesn't mean I care for you any less. You have to know that I will never truly be gone, I just can't get over how jealous you have become. Forcing me to the ground at high speeds isn't going to make me want to come back sooner. Lucky for you I have a short memory.
So, as the rest of you can probably gather, I've been spending more than a fair amount of time with Sara. I really couldn't be happier about that fact. She has really been amazing for me the last two months. It seems like so much longer. I feel like I've known her for years already, so that's nice. There are so many things that go through my head when I think about her, but it's difficult to put them all into words. All that I can really think of is love. There you have it, Joey is in love.
As you could also surmise, I hit the deck recently in a race. I haven't been this sore after a crash for quite some time, so it's a bit of an eye opener. We were going into the final 300 meters of the race when all h-e-double hockey sticks broke loose and next thing I know I've hit someone and am on the pavement being run over by multiple others. That sort of activity does not come very highly recommended. Fortunately I had Sara to take care of me and help bandage me up afterwards. Thanks my dear, you're a lifesaver.
Currently I'm fighting back all that soreness at Gila. More to come on that, let's just say I'm having good sensations going into my goal stages here, so I am tranquil. Until then...peace and / or out!
I've been waiting for you. You have many questions, and although the process has altered your consciousness, you remain irrevocably human. Ergo, some of my answers you will understand, and some of them you will not....

Lazy, so lazy...redux.
Well, here I stand before before you all, asking for your forgiveness. As has been said before on more than one occasion, there is much going on in my life these days. Where shall we start?
I suppose we should start with the most important item. Yes, for those of you wondering I am still, as Simple Minds says, Alive and Kicking. So, from that point of view things are going well.
But...
Things are far better than just that. Recently I've been hanging out with a Pretty OK Girl by the name of Sara. She really has helped open me up to the wonder that is me. Fortunately she doesn't yet know how dangerous it is to feed a roadie's ego. I'm sure soon enough she'll see the error of her ways in that respect, I just hope for my sake it's not soon. If'n you'd like a recount of our first encounter, you may just have to talk to me in person. I can only convey so much excitement via plan text (or rich html for that matter).
Next in line would be that racing season has really started to rear it's ugly and fun head. So far I'm about 5 races in. My form definitely isn't where it was when I left off last year, but I'm pretty far along compared to my normal for this time of year. Depending on what makes you laugh more we can say that either (a) I am tranquil, or (b) I have been having good sensations in the legs. We'll see how things go the next couple weeks leading into the first real test of the year. Gila, here I come. Goals include but are not limited to the Inner Loop day. I think that course really suits my attributes well. The climbs are enough to take the sting out of most legs, but not quite steep enough to let the Skinny Bastards (climbers) dance away on the pedals. Just remember to those of you who make it to a race...I've got a fever, and the only prescription...is more cowbell!
As always, work is keeping me verily busy. As usual, there are many exciting things going on, but all require hard work. It's been great having Koach there working with me. I've gotta say, he's a pretty good employee and a hard worker.
Ok, enough about someone else, let's get back to what's important here. That would be me. Finally, I've changed scenery. I'm still in D-town, just a little further south. Currently chilling in the Wash Park/DU/Platte Park/Pearl Street 'hood. Let me tell ya, living only one block from Rubin will make me both fast and well fed. Thanks to you for that sir.
Well, I think that's about enough for now. I'll try to hop on soon and post a few pics of what's going on (sorry mom, I'm on a laptop without the photos).
Oh, one last thing. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS MARY!!!!!!!!!! My little sister is growing up. I hope you had fun today!
