The First of Many

And thus begins the series of rants . . .

We went out to My Brother's Bar last night, certainly no bar any brother of mine would claim, given correct familial alignment which by the way does not exist. Why does it have to be difficult to try to purchase goods and services from a place in the business of selling goods and services? If I go to a bar/restaurant I usually intend to drink and/or eat. They made it very difficult last night, thanks for that.

In my anger, I might actually ride hard this weekend, despite my wintertime ban on riding hard. The Deer Creek/Wads group ride is calling my name, watch out!

Total Eclipse of the . . .

Moon you jackass. Figures that the first visible, total lunar eclipse would be on a cloudy night. Will I even win? Good grief!

Just and informal poll, does anybody read this besides my mom?

The Past Few Weeks

Dear Blog (and faithful, patient, forgiving readers),
Sorry I have neglected you for so long . . . I don't know where to begin. The past few weeks have been like an exciting roller coaster ride. I've been to parties, I've met new people, I've suffered through the ups and downs of Colorado weather changes. I can't believe how much I kept bottled up inside!

I got dragged to the rodeo by a few friends who said I needed the experience. I think Kendall managed to document the adventure, but you can search through his blog on your own time. I went to a few parties, some better than others. The Rubinator had a pizza party at his place that was amusing for a while. There was a nice girl there from the British countryside, she talked funny. There was also a party that had a really mixed crowd, but everybody was wearing red, that was ok, but not as much fun as it could have been.

There has been a lot of Monday evenings spent at Lola, but nothing really exciting to tell. Their tacos are starting to taste like cat food, not that I have ever had reason to eat cat food. I have ridden my bike a fair bit this winter, weather allowing. I'm glad Hutchison is riding on the team now. He's a right funny bastard!

I am excited about resuming the regular blogging. All in all, we are a pretty active bunch. I see things, I do things, I notice things and I will write about them! Sometimes I get pissed off and I will write about that. I can't wait to put "the list" on the interweb for the first time ever . . . you might just be on it!

Well, back to work, I work too much. I missed out on Fish and Chips with Seth, JD, and others, but I knew ManU kicked the piss out of Arsenal already, that match was on Saturday and Arsenal always chokes!

Intervention

Every once in a while, you just have to shout, "Jesus take the wheel" and put your faith in somebody else to drive. This is a blog intervention . . .

Updates on the Life and Times of Joseph "I forgot your middle name already" Pinkerton are soon to follow. The dude has had an exciting past few weeks, I just have to pretend to work.

And I'll be there.

Yeah, I'll be there.

Great songs, these guys all rock, not like the crap they play these days.

What's for dinner?

Lo Siento

I know I'm the worlds largest slacker. I apologize to the blog-o-sphere for my complete lack of respect for all of you. There has been a ton going on, mostly involving good friends, some food and finally some cycling again! Here are a few picks as of late. Hope this will hold some over until I can find more time to write in depth of my recent life.
Snow may suck big time, but the city looks pretty cool while it's happening.

This is how a good night should start. A beer with a bud.
Here we have Seth making himself beautiful in the cold. A face only a mother cold love.

And finally, I was able to get out with Dad, JT and Jerome for some fun on the dirt around boulder. It's after taking so much time off the bike it is fantastic to get back on and really love being out there again. It is a chore to get dressed with all the clothes necessary to stay warm, but it's all worth it once you get out again.
Talk to you all again soon.

In case you were wondering.

Yes, it is true! Snow...

PLUS (+) wind...

EQUALS (=)

Friggin' Freezin'! There's something wrong with the high being in the neighborhood of 18 F. Icy pretty much nails it.

By the way, huge thanks go out to Mom and Doris for the spanking awesome Christmas present of a brand new digital camera. No more phone photos for me. Unless, of course, I forget my camera, but I'll be doing my best not to do that.

On that note, here is one of the coolest Christmas Trees I've ever seen. I have to give my dad lots of credit, he has an imagination after all!

So modern. It almost takes my breath away.

Last night was Seth's birthday. Isn't he just so adorable?

Of course, any time there's fun to be had, you can find JD around as well. Nice pose fellas.

And no birthday is truly complete with out a little cake and (the) champagne (of beers).

Go ahead, count those candles. Good times were had by all. Hopefully we'll get a bit more blackmail at the coming New Year's Eve gala. If we can get Dick Clark to swing by we'll have a Rockin' Good Time.
